{"id":438,"date":"2026-04-23T09:45:59","date_gmt":"2026-04-23T09:45:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.freya.nl\/?page_id=438"},"modified":"2026-04-23T09:46:01","modified_gmt":"2026-04-23T09:46:01","slug":"ivm-in-vitro-maturatie","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/staging.freya.nl\/?page_id=438","title":{"rendered":"IVM \u2013 In Vitro Maturatie"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IVM (in vitro maturatie) is een behandeling waarbij onrijpe eicellen in het laboratorium tot rijping worden gebracht.<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voor sommige vrouwen is het een mogelijkheid om onrijpe eicellen uit de eierstokken te halen via een punctie. Deze onrijpe eicellen worden daarna in ongeveer dertig uur in het laboratorium tot rijping gebracht en daarna kunnen ze bevrucht worden via IVF of ICSI. Deze zogenoemde In Vitro Maturatie (IVM) is een nieuwe voortplantingstechniek en heeft als grote voordeel dat vrouwen de hormonale stimulatie van de eierstokken niet hoeven te ondergaan. Hierdoor is de behandeling een stuk minder belastend en is er bijvoorbeeld minder kans op overstimulatie van de eierstokken. De techniek is veiliger en goedkoper dan een IVF-behandeling. Het grote nadeel is dat de techniek nog minder effici\u00ebnt is, omdat het technisch lastiger is om eicellen te verkrijgen. Ook wordt nog onderzocht wat het eventuele effect is op de kinderen die geboren worden uit IVM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wetenschappelijk onderzoek<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wereldwijd zijn er naar schatting zo\u2019n 1100 kinderen geboren via deze techniek. De beroepsverenigingen van gynaecologen (NVOG) en klinisch embryologen (KLEM) hebben onlangs besloten om IVM in Nederland te introduceren in het kader van wetenschappelijk onderzoek. Het wordt in Nederland dus nog niet vaak toegepast. In Belgi\u00eb wordt IVM sinds 2010 toegepast.
